"Hola, con gusto, it's great to meet you! As a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, I studied Spanish at the University of Sevilla, Spain. I've been a tutor and a homeschool teacher for over 20 years, & had my own Spanish tutoring business in Los Angeles before moving back to the east coast. I pride myself on being extremely patient and calm with my students, and adapting to all personality types. My goal is to always make our lessons fun so it doesn't feel like "work." Vamos!

I specialize in teaching Spanish, executive functioning (all levels), and all subjects K-6. Over the years I’ve taught students ranging in age from 3 years old to 75 years young, including many students with ADD and dysgraphia. I have also home-schooled students and taught pod sessions (groups of students) in addition to individual sessions.

I loved attending school and I think that had a lot to do with the wonderful teachers that I was fortunate to have, along with their approach to learning. I pride myself on being able to adapt to each child's individual personality and pace: having students feel at ease during our sessions is paramount. There is nothing more rewarding than guiding a student through a challenging course and building up his/her/their self-confidence along the way – it is truly an honor to be a mentor throughout the journey. There have been numerous occasions over the years where I will begin supporting a student who “strongly dislikes” Spanish, for example. Months later, not only is that student loving the class…but it has become his/her/their favorite subject. Teaching is such a powerful tool, it is a role and a responsibility that I value and cherish.
