"My philosophy as an engineer, researcher, and tutor is to foster understanding of fundamental STEM concepts and effectively apply them to solve more advanced problems independently in class and real-world settings (the WHY, not just the HOW, makes things more intuitive). I also present information with transparency and patience to accommodate different paces, backgrounds, and mindsets. I offer AP Exam prep, test prep, coursework help, and other assistance for STEM topics and more niche subjects such as data analysis and software like MATLAB, JMP, and ImageJ/FIJI.
I am a highly analytical and dedicated professional with diverse hands-on experience in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, research, problem-solving, and project management. Having received extensive graduate-level education, I have strong capability in reviewing technical literature and presenting research findings in a timely, high-quality manner. My B.S. in Bioengineering (and Chemistry minor) is from Temple University. I also have two M.S. degrees from Temple (Accelerated 4+1 Program) and Cornell University, in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively.
I also have 7 semesters (900+ hours of in-class/lab work and other activities) of teaching assistant (TA) experience (2 as an undergrad, 5 as a grad student) spanning a wide range of scientific as well as mathematically/statistics-intensive subjects at the university undergraduate level (Research Design & Methods, Bioelectrical Engineering, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Physiology of Human Health and Disease, and Ethical Issues in Biomedical Science, Engineering, and Technology).
As an undergrad, my 42 transfer credits from AP courses designated me a senior by credit after 3 semesters. I received A's in Organic Chemistry I, Biochemistry I, Physics I, and all my (Honors) Calculus and General Chemistry courses. I also received a B+ in Honors Organic Chemistry II, Physics II, and Differential Equations. As a grad student, I received A's in Engineering Math I and Biostatistics." less...
