"Hi, I'm Ethan! I am a student at Cornell University studying Computer Science and Mathematics. I received a 1540 on the Digital SAT (760 RW, 780 M), and a 1490/1520 on the PSAT, and I am a National Merit Finalist. I am passionate about the study of mathematics and have previously tutored Precalculus, Geometry, Algebra II, AP Calculus AB, and Calculus II. I have also received 5s on 12 AP Exams, including AP US Government, AP Micro & Macroeconomics, AP Physics C: Mechanics/Electricity & Magnetism, AP English Literature, AP Computer Science A, AP US History, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics I, and AP Latin.

Over the past five years, I have served as a tutor for students in Math, History, English, and Science courses. I have taught students in one-on-one sessions after school in a volunteer role as a part of the Math Honor Society, helping over 15 students with Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. During this position, I assisted with completing homework, answering questions, creating practice problems, and studying for tests and quizzes. Additionally, I have tutored several students prepare for the Digital SAT, explaining grammar questions and how to answer Math free response questions, with most students achieving 99th percentile scores. Over this time, students who were previously failing classes or had below-average SAT scores benefitted the most, learning not just the material, but also how to learn on their own. With my tutoring approach, I often introduce content using familiar concepts before diving into harder topics. I specialize in SAT and High School Math, but can also tutor English, History, Physics, and Latin.
