As a teacher, I believe it is critical to provide tutoring services to help students fill in missing gaps. I have tutored as an undergraduate student and continued to provide it as a teacher. One-on-one tutoring is one of the most effective ways to tutor because the student can ask questions and he or she gets instant feedback. Education is a critical component of our community to make a brighter future for all. With several years of experience in middle school, high school mathematics, and college math tutoring, I am prepared to provide effective tutoring based on my mathematical background. Below are some highlights of my educational career thus far: 4 years successful experience teaching in the middle school math classroom, approximately 3 successful years experience as a university math tutor, and a master's degree in k-12 math education (Western Oregon State University.)

My tutoring sessions are structured based on the student's preferences, but I believe concept teaching is the most effective. Students cannot understand a concept if they do not know how the concept is developed to understand its purpose in math and the real world.
