"I am a native Japanese speaker and translator living in the United State. I have 2 years of experience to teach Japanese language to American high school students. During my college days, I assisted the Japanese class instructor and helped college students to read, write and speak Japanese. I have been tutoring on Wyzant for about one and a half years. Now I teach Japanese community education classes at two locations.

I studied linguistics in the United States and one of the linguistics classes I took was Applied Linguistics, basically how to teach foreign languages. I chose Japanese and ended up with getting self-published with a Japanese grammar book, "Speak Like Native Speakers Japanese Verb Conjugation I."

I want my students to enjoy learning Japanese, because it is fun to learn a foreign language. For beginner students, I can offer the lessons starting from the very basic grammar, greetings, numbers, the letter Hiragana, Katakana, and so on. For advanced students, reading lessons are available. We can read the Japanese book "Kiri no mukou no fushigina machi," which targets Japanese 4th or 5th graders to read. Or "Akage no Anne," the Japanese translation of "Anne of Green Gables," can be your textbook.
