"I'm Kim. I graduated with a Business degree from SJSU and an MS degree in Analytics from JHU. While in college, I worked as an Econs, Algebra, and Vietnamese tutor. In addition, I spent a year teaching Vietnamese to small children at a local church. I'm a Data Analyst familiar with different BI tools such as SQL and data visualization.

Helping other people has always been something I am truly passionate about. I can provide assistance in the following areas.

The first subject is Vietnamese. I'm a native speaker who finished most of my high school education in Vietnam. I want to make sure your learning journey is as easy and memorable. In terms of Reading and Writing: focus on tones, pronunciation, vowels, and consonants to build up/strengthen your foundation. For the Speaking and Listening parts, we will center around common dialogues, allowing you to pick up conversations quickly while helping you to reduce your foreign accent while speaking. My lessons will include Vietnamese customs and traditions such as family concepts, food, religion, and special occasions. Other exercises/activities will be included to help you develop skills per your request.

My other tutoring subject is SQL - I write SQL for 90% of my job and will be able to guide you from beginner to intermediate levels. I want to help you save time by building a strong foundation, learning the most commonly used SQL syntax to support your data analysis using Aggregate functions, running more complex queries using logical operators and window functions, and developing a logical mindset in solving SQL questions. I will also share tips and tricks for learning and practicing SQL for school and applying for jobs.
