"Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve been creating since I could hold a crayon. As a dedicated art educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, I am committed to helping students discover the joy and power of creative expression. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Northcentral University. I am permanently certified to teach in New York State and also hold teaching certification in Arizona.

My teaching journey began as a substitute at a special education school on the eastern end of Long Island. Followed by a position at a Title I elementary school in Phoenix, Arizona. After returning to New York, I taught at elementary schools in Brooklyn and Washington Heights. For the past four years, I have been working with high school students in the South Bronx.

I have extensive experience in all areas of art education, which include technical drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media as well as a strong commitment to supporting social and emotional learning. I believe art is essential not only for children but for adults as well. It provides a creative outlet, builds confidence, and nurtures emotional well-being.
