I have a strong mathematics background because of my degrees in chemistry and pharmacy. I have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate student - that was over 20 years ago! I'm very direct and honest with students about their abilities and potential. I believe that learners should know their strengths as well as their areas for improvement. I love to use weird topics that connect with subjects to make the learning experience more memorable.

Most of the mathematics I use on a daily basis is the prerequisite knowledge for algebra. A strong ability in mental mathematics is important for science learning, so I am always challenging my students with science problems that integrate mathematics.
