"Hi there! I’m Amanda, a certified K–5 educator with over 8 years of experience helping young learners grow in reading, writing, and math. I specialize in tutoring students in grades K–3, with a focus on building foundational skills, academic confidence, and positive learning habits through personalized support.

I began my teaching career in 1st grade and later taught 2nd & 3rd grade classrooms. For three years, I focused heavily on early math instruction, guiding students through number sense, addition and subtraction strategies, place value, and problem-solving… all with an emphasis on helping kids feel capable and confident in their thinking. I’ve also supported literacy growth through phonics, reading fluency, comprehension strategies, and early writing development.

In every session, I meet students where they are and use a calm, encouraging approach to help them thrive.
