"Having completed my Bachelors of Arts in 2012 of History and my Masters of Science in Teaching of Childhood Education at the State University of New York at Cortland, my experience demonstrates numerous qualities of an effective teacher. With my experience in the classroom and my certification in Childhood education I feel I have the proper skills to expand the minds of students. In addition to my teaching skills, I have experience at the high school level tutoring students of hight needs at Ithaca High school.

Having my Masters in Childhood Education has allowed for multiple experiences and efficient training in adapting lessons to meet the needs of students while incorporating Common Core Standards. Furthermore, throughout my teaching I have experience in the New York State Math modules, along side with the English Language Arts Modules.

As an educator I see myself as an influential and important role model of my school and its community. Through course readings, practicum, student teaching experience, and conversations with professors, my ability to educate effectively has vastly increased. I have made positive impressions on the student’s that I worked with. Learning and practicing concepts of differentiated instruction, community building, and collaboration has changed my perspective on lesson planning and creating a positive learning environment for students. Every child has the right to an effective education. My upmost goal is to advocate for my students’ deserved effective education through the skills and abilities I have learned throughout my educational experience.
