"Hi! I'm Karen, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Ursinus College with a major in Mathematics and double minors in Accounting and Economics. I graduated sixth from my college class, and was valedictorian of my high school class. I have always had a sincere interest in learning and studying, and want to share that passion with students in need of tutoring who truly want to learn. I am certified by Wyzant to tutor in many subjects for everyone from elementary school students to adults, including ACT English and SAT writing.

I had many excellent professors in college, but my particular favorite professor stands out most vividly in my mind. During his lectures, he would sometimes go over material that I wasn't quite grasping in that exact moment, but I believed I just needed a few minutes to think more about it and it would become clear in my mind. My professor always saw from my face that I was thinking about the concept and trying to grasp it, and would proactively ask me what my question was before I asked it. This is the type of relationship I would like to have with the students I tutor.

I did some tutoring of fellow college students in math subjects during college. During my long career in the financial services industry, I trained many fellow employees on many different topics. I have often been told that I should have been a teacher and would like to make that a reality.

I sincerely want to help the students I tutor, and watch them enjoy the learning process and the moment when the light bulb goes off in their head and they "get it".
