"I have been a private tutor for five years, during which time I have helped students improve their grades in and their understandings of various academic subjects with an emphasis on English- all for the long term. I have prepared students for the SAT, ACT, GRE, SSAT and ISEE drawing from my multidisciplinary background and broad teaching path of fifteen years that spans elementary – high school and college. During this time, I also worked as a gifted education specialist. As an educational consultant and advocate, I assisted K-12 teachers customize their practices to the individual needs and strengths of their students. For five years, I worked in educational publishing. This led to a series of educational resource books that I wrote to support teachers and provide them with strategies to improve student learning.
