I lived and worked in Paris, France for 25 years during which I spoke French at work and in all my personal relationships. I earned my B.A. in Comparative Literature with Honors (French-English, Arabic, Spanish) from the American University of Beirut (six faculties, 7,800 students), accredited by the State of New York and Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In July 2021, I completed the Certificate of Teaching of French as a Foreign Language (July 5, 2021) awarded by the Alliance Française (see asterisk below).

During the years 2016-2017, I taught French I and II for adults at Collin College, in McKinney, Texas, just north of Dallas, and, since 2018, have tutored students online in middle-school French, AP French, college-level French, as well as to adults who use French in their businesses.

Most of my professional experience was in translation, French into English, as well as in marketing communications in Paris, France, and also in Dallas, Texas. During this time, I produced and edited content in both French and English.

My father took the family to Beirut, Lebanon, where French was spoken in addition to Arabic. I learned French growing up with my friends and fellow students. Since I remember vividly learning the language, I know what it's like to be a learner of French and can easily put myself in the student's shoes. I listen carefully to each student's needs and design the course materials in accordance.

I always supplement the course material with French cultural events, literature, and opera, and walk students through the French cities and country sides to give them a wider understanding of the language.
