"I graduated from Hanover College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in English. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Literacy Education at Western Kentucky University, where I am gaining advanced knowledge in reading instruction, assessment, and intervention. I am on track to graduate in May.

I am currently in my third year of teaching. I spent my first two years teaching Kindergarten, where I built a strong foundation in early literacy development, phonemic awareness, and differentiated instruction. I currently teach K–5 STEM, allowing me to foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students ranging from ages 5 to 11 in both whole-class and small-group settings. My approach emphasizes student engagement, growth mindset, and individualized support, ensuring that every learner is met at their level and challenged to grow.

I integrate a variety of evidence-based teaching strategies, including guided reading, multisensory learning, formative assessment, and project-based instruction. My literacy instruction focuses on creating a balanced approach that combines phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing development.
