"I am currently in my undergraduate years, majoring in biochemistry. Since my first semester, I have made the Dean’s List every semester up to the present. I have also received letters from Miami Dade College, the school I am attending, congratulating me on my achievements. I proudly maintain a 4.0 GPA, which has contributed to my success as a student. I also applied to Kennesaw State University and was accepted into the Honors College.

I have been working for a couple of months at Miami Dade College as a Chemistry tutor. My experience has been valuable and rewarding. I have been tutoring the Chemistry class required for admission to Nursing School. This fall (2024), I had students who improved from a D to a B in college classes. I held tutoring sessions throughout the entire semester. These sessions were based on worksheets to help students with the class material. Additionally, I taught review sessions for each exam. I also assisted students with General Chemistry I and II. They were grateful and made me feel that my time was truly worthwhile. Every time they finished an exam, they would come to me and tell me how it went, and their grades were amazing. They developed skills by solving problems, which empowered them to believe in their abilities and fostered a positive attitude toward learning.

Phrases like "thank you," "thanks to you, I passed the class with an A," or "you are the best tutor I have ever had" made me feel passionate about my job. I use effective methods to help students learn and make the subject easier than it seems. I use Kahoot, flashcards, and summaries. Some students prefer one method over the other. I also like to give them questions every week to review everything they have learned in class. This ensures they master the material well. As a tutor, my goal is to support and enhance a student's learning by providing personalized guidance and instruction.
