"Hi I'm Rahul! I am currently enrolled at Purdue University studying Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Math has been one of my favorite subjects ever since I was a child and I have reached a high level of success within math. I have attained a perfect score on the math portion of the SAT, 5's in various math related AP’s, and have taken and succeeded honors level math courses at my university. However, I was not always a successful student in math. I benefited from tutoring and instruction to help me achieve my full potential. I believe that students learn best in a friendly and loose environment where the student is comfortable with their tutor, so they are free to ask whatever questions they might have. I also believe that students benefit from conceptual explanation(learning about WHY this type of math is useful) and practice. In my sessions I try to hold these standards to the utmost importance to be the foundation for our lessons.

Helping other students has been an extremely rewarding passion of mine. I got my start tutoring with my first job, which involved teaching high schoolers at C and C++ programming at a university level. I realized I loved teaching passionate students and confirmed my conjectures that conceptual and active explanation cause the best understanding. In a direct mathematical way , I became a voluntary SAT math tutor for a well-known academy's free service, Schoolhouse World. There I taught a group of a dozen students different SAT math tips and tricks, as well as multiple full practice test reviews. Many of them contacted me after their SAT, noting that the math section felt much easier after our sessions.
