"I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting, and minored in Spanish. I believe that any subject can be mastered once confidence and a desire to learn have been formed, so I focus just as much on how the person feels about the subject as I do on the subject material itself.

Spanish: Whether I bring my own material or work solely with the text the student has received in class, my goal is to discover the way that the student learns best, then to present the work accordingly. I can help with identifying patterns for students who have more analytical minds, and presenting playacting situations for students who need a more personal approach.

English: I tend to address grammar, spelling, writing and reading at the same time, depending upon the comprehension level and needs of the student. It's helpful for me to have any notes concerning challenges the student has encountered either from the student themself or from the teacher. Using those, I can zero in on whatever foundation of understanding might need strengthening. I tend to generate my own practice material to accomplish this, but can work with materials provided by the teacher wherever that's preferred.

Theatre (acting): I can work with either improvisation or scripted work, but where text is available, I focus heavily on analysis. I was trained in suzuki, a physical methodology, as well as the "magic if" of Stanislavski. While I do work with some personal sourcing, I neither support nor work with Method acting, which is absolutely not what Stanislavski himself ever taught (Method acting was taught by Lee Strasberg)." less...
