"Hello! I'm Ingrid! I am a certified tutor and ESL and Montessori teacher/tutor. I have experience tutoring children of all ages and adults in language arts, literature, SAT, and ESL. I help elementary, junior high, and high school students build a foundation of reading and writing and encourage students of all ages to find what motivates them. I believe that oftentimes, students simply need encouragement and someone to walk alongside them so that tasks do not seem so overwhelming. I believe in different learning styles and try to discover how each student learns best. I work to create a comfortable atmosphere where mistakes are okay and learning is enjoyable. I employ a student-centered approach and work with students and parents to define and develop goals and structure lessons.

I completed a CELTA-equivalent, level-5 TEFL course and received Montessori certification through KHT Montessori. I also hold an advanced tutoring certification from the National Tutoring Association.
