"Salve, χαῖρε, and hello! My name is Lilia and I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago with over a decade of experience studying ancient languages. I earned my MA in Classics at the University of Maryland, where I studied Greek and Latin literature, helped teach mythology classes, and researched Latin poetry. Along the way I've worked with books from Homer to Cicero, and even medieval and renaissance Latin.

Over years of teaching and tutoring, I've seen firsthand how often Greek and Latin students get left behind. Complicated grammar terms can be confusing, and students don't get to see enough examples in practice. My approach focuses on clarity, concrete examples, and confidence-building, so that students can finally experience what it’s like to read sentences rather than puzzle through them.

I have experience tutoring high school, college, and adult learners, so whether you're just starting out, trying to keep up with a tough class, or learning a language in your free time, I'm happy to help!
