"Currently, I am the Classics Department Chair for Grades 6-12 at Flint Hill School (a PreK-12 independent school in Oakton, VA). I have experience teaching a wide range of Latin levels (Latin I to AP). Prior to this position, I taught Latin at St. Thomas' Episcopal School for grades 6-12 (Houston, TX). I am familiar with the Cambridge Latin Course, Jenney's Latin, Oxford Latin Course, Gryphis Latin, Suburani, and Ecce Romani. I am open to using different books as well.

In the past I have worked a summer session with the Center for Talented Youth (with Johns Hopkins) as a Latin TA. I have taught English to college students in China. I have tutored students in elementary and middle school math and reading, as well as middle and high school Latin. I have experience as a tutor of math and reading for elementary and middle school students, as well as Latin for high school and college students. I enjoy working through the tough and tricky questions with students until they come to the "Aha!" moment. That time of realization is special for me, as I become aware of the help I have provided. I will patiently work through concepts until the student has a firm understanding of them.
