"I have a BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering and two MSc. Degrees in Industrial Technology and Industrial& Systems Engineering. My academic life concludes in 9 years of study and research. During my graduate study at Texas State University, I researched actively into the development of complex algorithms for Rapid Manufacturing Process using VBA within Autodesk Inventor. My research resulted in the publication of 12 International Papers and 3 book chapters at prestigious journals.
Between 2000 and 2005 before I pursue my higher education, I took Industrial and Process Improvement Engineer positions in detergent and automaker industries and extensively utilized Excel, Access, Visio, VBA and SQL coding for the development of custom applications needed for the improvement of various processes. I was also passionate about computer programming and became a self-educated computer programmer, did coding in VBA, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal 7, C#, etc. My mixed Engineering-Computer skills helped me a lot to become successful analyst and engineer in workplace and find solutions for highly difficult problems.
During my professional career, I have designed many databases such as Inventory Control, Production planning and Control, Costing tools, Material Movement and Exception, NAAB accreditation process, etc. using VBA, SQL coding in both Access and Excel. During my work for Harley-Davidson as an Exception Analyst, I have automated the number of reports on material movement processes in SAP using VBA and SQL coding in Access, Excel, and Outlook. Automatic data pull from SAP and remote exchange of data between Access, Excel and Outlook helped us significantly reduced manhours, increased efficiency and accuracy of reports.
Currently I work for Hallmark as Production Planning Analyst and I have designed and developed several custom applications for production and our own department. At workplace, I extensively use SQL and VBA to automatically pull data from SAP and populate many back-end databases to feed front-end program I have designed in Access and Excel which is being used by over 50 users remotely.
Having such knowledge and professional experiences explained above, through tutoring I would love to share my knowledge and help both college/graduate students and experienced persons to be successful in academia and at workplace. My teaching style is "Learning by Doing" by which I encourage a student to gain practical knowledge in the process of learning.
