"When you learn to code, you develop your problem-solving skills, communicate your ideas through logic, gain independence, build confidence, and have fun!

I offer long-term tutoring designed to teach you coding from the ground-up. While we will work in the programming language that you want to learn-- choose from Python, C++, or Java-- the particular language will be less important than mastering the fundamentals that apply to all languages. Examples of these fundamentals are conditionals, loops, functions, and data structures.

Some topics we cover will overlap with what is taught in high school programming courses. However, I do not provide course-specific help, such as assistance with assignments or exam preparation. Students seeking that type of support should find another tutor.

About my experience: During my college years, I worked in summer camps teaching programming courses in BASIC, Pascal, C, Java, and Scheme. One of these courses was a rigorous course for gifted students. My corporate experience (over 15 years) gives me a unique perspective on the understanding of and teaching of programming.
