"My passion is teaching you to play the harp.  My goal is to help you become the best harpist that you can be.  My professional training was at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University where I received both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Harp Performance and Music Education.  

I have over 30 years of teaching and performance experience.  Some students have gone on to a professional career, others play for local events and some play in their homes for their own enjoyment.   I love watching how my students progress over time. Sharing the love of music and the harp is why I have focused my time on teaching for the last several years.

You might find me at the American Harp Society Conference facilitating workshops on Effective Practicing, Memorization Skills or Performance Anxiety.  I have been a guest lecturer at several schools of music and the leader of master classes.  My involvement with the harp world is the center of my work.

I have a strong commitment to music education.  I have launched a non-profit community based arts academy, Diablo Valley Arts Academy, The Community Music School and the After School Conservatory.   The Music Teachers Association of California commissioned me to write a syllabus for the Harp for their Certificate of Merit Program.

I have a Master’s Degree in Music Education from The Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University.

More importantly, I have taught the harp to hundreds of students over the course of my career. As your teacher, my job is to teach you the skills you need to play the harp beautifully. I have students of all ages, ability levels, and musical backgrounds. Some have become professional players, others play in various settings and some play for themselves at home. My best qualifications are my extensive experience teaching and performing and my gentle way of working with students to help you meet your goals.
