"Hello! My name is Jeff, and I study pure mathematics with a secondary teaching emphasis at Cal Poly Pomona. I'm studying to become a highschool teacher but beyond that, I plan to go after my PhD to eventually become a professor at a university. I love teaching almost as much as I love math! Getting you to that aha moment where the concept clicks in your mind and you can see a fuller picture of an idea is my main goal with you. In other words, my hope is to get you to understand the underlying concept of a problem so that when we go over examples, you'll understand how that concept applies to different situations. I have been told and personally believe I have a great way of communicating mathematics to others because I am able to break big concepts into a logical process and build the idea from the ground up. I am also able to grasp where you are at in your current stage of understanding an idea and I can adapt my lesson to your individual perspective.

I have been a tutor at Riverside Community college for a year before I transferred and I taught students in all levels of math including, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, 2, and 3, as well as differential equations, linear algebra, statistics. Also, now I have taken an intro to Math Proofs class as well as an intro to Number theory course and received a B+ and an A, respectively. I believe I could tutor these courses as well now. My goal with this app is to continue in my process as an educator so that the time I become a teacher, I will be that much more prepared to be the best teacher I can be for my students. Also, I want to see you succeed in your classes and understanding of the concepts at hand, and finally just that maybe you'll come to appreciate math as much as I do.
