"I'm Sam Cole. Nice to meet you! I attended Miami University for undergrad and the University of Cincinnati for graduate school. While I did not study music, it has been a great passion of mine for over 25 years, and I have continued to take my progression as a musician very seriously. I've played in numerous bands, including the rock band Walk the Moon, as a founding member. I also currently play in my church worship band as a lead guitarist.

I believe learning and playing a musical instrument has many benefits for one's life. It's therapeutic to express yourself in a new way, it builds self-esteem and confidence to reach your goals, it helps you connect with other musicians and make new friends; and if you have the opportunity to play your instrument for others, you will bring joy to their day. Music brings people together, and most everyone likes music!

I have taught guitar lessons before, however, it has been some time since then. I am making a fresh start in teaching music and am excited to give this a try again. I am confident in my ability to transmit the concepts and techniques that will get you where you'd like to be in your guitar playing. In my work as an IT/business consultant, I have designed instructional programs and know exactly how to tailor a program around your interests and goals. Learning a musical instrument should be fun too!

I am strong in acoustic styles, rock, blues, and pop, and for advanced students, I can get them started in jazz guitar. I have taken guitar lessons for rock, pop and blues and jazz. I am planning on starting classical guitar lessons soon to continue my guitar progression.
