"I am have a passion for literacy. I formerly taught public school for seven years before coming home to stay with my children. I currently homeschool all three of them. I hold active teaching certifications in Elementary K-6, Early Childhood N-3, and Reading Specialist K-12. I obtained my BS in Ed in Elementary/Early Childhood in 2007 from Shippensburg University of PA. I also obtained my M.Ed in Reading in 2012 from Shippensburg University. I enjoy teaching, and I really love impacting children in ways that set them up for success in the future. When not teaching and tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and serving in our church. I also enjoy living a healthy and fit life.

I taught elementary students for seven years in public school settings. Four of these years, I spent in Kindergarten teaching phonics and teaching early reading skills. As a reading specialist, I am an expert at reaching struggling readers and helping build confidence in reading abilities. Teaching reading and phonics is my area of expertise.

I am a certified health and wellness coach through ACE. I enjoy teaching group fitness classes as a hobby!
