I have been playing the drums since 1979. I started in the marching band of my high school as a junior. Since I had never played before, the band teacher spent many hours with me over the summer to teach me how to play the snare drum, tri-toms and bass drums in order to prepare for marching season. I have taken lessons from several people since then to learn different methods and styles. I also taught at Santa Fe State College for one year in their community education classes.

I can teach you how to play: snare drum, tri-toms or quads, and bass drums for marching bands; the drum set, reading drum music (this is imperative for marching bands, studio work, orchestras, symphonies etc.), setting up, tuning and fills etc.

I played baseball since I was eight years old. I earned a baseball scholarship at St. Johns River Community College where I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree.

I also played football since I was eight through my sophomore year of high school. An injury to my ribs made me re-think the whole football thing. That is when I joined band, long story.
