"My name is Roslyn, and I am certified by the College of Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) as a Master Level 2 Tutor. For the past three years, I have worked as a professional writing tutor at the college level. I tutor students in one-on-one sessions, both in person and virtually, and I support an online writing service called Write Now!, that allows students to receive feedback on their writing without an appointment. I tutor students in their writing of personal narratives, persuasive and argumentative essays, literature reviews, research papers, and college application essays.

I was elected Tutor of the Year in 2024 by the Cerullo Learning Assistance Center and my work related to literacy was published in the International Literacy Magazine. Before focusing exclusively on tutoring, I taught English reading and writing at the middle and high school levels for 12 years as a state-licensed educator. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, graduating cum laude.

Writing literacy is an important skill both inside and outside the classroom and requires a variety of writing strategies that can be tailored to support all learners.
