"Hi I am Sarah! I am a licensed English Teacher in the State of Tennessee for grades 6-12. I am a graduate of East Tennessee State University and a current student at the University of Tennessee where I am studying Educational Psychology. I will graduate in August of 2021 and then begin my Doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology at the University of Tennessee.

I am very passionate about learning and about helping people. I think the route that I am taking will allow me to do just that. I love teaching, but I would like to do more. I chose to start tutoring because it gives me a chance to reach out and help more students progress and feel the success of academic achievement. Additionally with my background in psychology I am able to work with students based on specific learning needs, help the set realistic goals, and help them to internalize new, helpful habits.

I have a degree in English. I am well versed in Literature, Grammar, Reading, and Writing. I also have skills in proofreading and editing. This will be very helpful for students needing help with any element of English.

I can tutor in public places or via Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet; however, I prefer to meet in person as it allows me to watch students’ progress in person, and I think it allows for the students to be better receptive to information being presented to them.
