"Hi! I am thrilled that you are considering me and reading my Bio! One thing you can be sure of is that I give my absolute best to each and every student that comes into my life. I truly value each unique set of needs that each student possesses. This is what characterizes me as a teacher as well as a tutor. I have taught science now for 7 years and have loved every minute of it! My tireless dedication earned me the title of Teacher of the Year at the school where I taught Biology. I truly love the classroom, but even more, I love one-on-one tutoring sessions with my students. This is where the magic happens as I can see what drives and challenges my students. I have spent countless hours with a struggling student or groups of students after school helping them to pin-point exactly where they need to focus their efforts on being a better student; whether it's some piece of information from class that they just can't seem to grasp or honing their study skills or time management, I really take the time to get down to the real cause of why they are struggling.

Indeed my true passion as a teacher/tutor is not really the content that I teach but rather the thinking and learning skills that I know are the real reason that some students succeed and others fail. I want to help students really understand what they are DOING with the material that is presented to them and how to use their time most effectively to succeed in the classroom. I know how it feels to struggle and I know how it feels to allow that struggle to push you to a greater understanding of how you learn best as an individual. Every one can learn, its just about being willing to put in the work and time to find out your own personal learning identity. And a good learning coach certainly helps!
