"I've been a Literacy Specialist and Interventionist since 1998. I have a M.S. Ed. and an Ed.S in Literacy Education. I am certified by the state of Maine, K-8 in both regular and special education, as well as K-12 Literacy Specialist. I've specialized in reading at the K-5 level in public schools for over 20 years and have tutored many students over the years. I also have experience teaching reading, writing, and math to students with learning disabilities.

I have a wide variety of training in several approaches, including Orton-Gillingham. I adapt my instruction to each individual student. I am not a one-size-fits-all. Be assured that I can teach the way your child learns best. I also monitor progress to ensure your child IS making progress! I use a variety of assessments to determine the strengths and challenges and develop my lessons as indicated.
