"Hi, my name is Tarra, or Ms. Tarra if you feel formal.

I teach because I love teaching. I love teaching anything.... and I am very good at making students love a subject. I teach the meaning of a subject, and why it works, so you don't have to memorize as many rules. People who say they hate math are my favorites, as I can get them loving math best.... this has never yet failed, so give it a try.

I get jobs by simply saying "You should hire me, I am very smart". This is true, but the love of teaching is even more important, as is the love of learning. I have done a great deal of teacher training in the past 25 years, in many disciplines, because I am always learning to be a better teacher. I care very much for all of my students, from 3 year olds to seniors.

My aim in tutoring school subjects is to make homework, tests, and getting good grades significantly easier, as I am aware of how much homework kids get these days. My track record is very good, with every student I've ever taught going up at least 1 grade level, and often as much as 2 levels (C to A).

My aim in teaching music is to be able to express yourself with good technique that is healthy for your body, beautiful tone, and a love for the instrument, for music theory, composition, or any other aspect of music. I like and teach all types of music, from classical to metal/jazz/rock/country in both guitar and violin.
