"Hello all, I am Anish! I graduated from high school with summa cum laude as the class valedictorian and am currently finishing my Biology degree as a BS/MD student. Currently, I am a National Merit and BS/MD scholar as well as a Premed student at Florida Atlantic University with a GPA of 3.92. I spend most of my free time skateboarding, volunteering, and researching the brain at the Max Planck Institute of Neuroscience.

While in school, my success in classes I excelled at was driven by the teachers who guided me. The ones who sat down with me when I had a problem and did their best to make sure I understood the material. Instead of simply telling me the answers I needed and pointing me back to the reading to figure it out myself, they tried to find the root of my issues and made sure to solve that. I have tutored honors statistics at my university for two years now, and my tutoring style has reflected that of those teachers.

I prefer to sit down and go through practice problems with my students, and let them attempt first. If they make a mistake, I ask them to go step by step from the beginning of their reasoning and see where exactly the error in the thought process occurred. I then slowly guide them towards the right answer and provide just as much input as I think the student needs to figure it out. I don't move on from a topic until completely sure the student understands.
