"I am a recent graduate from Loyola University Chicago, receiving a dual degree in Accounting and Economics. In my time at Loyola, I spent three years (over 250 hours) tutoring a wide range of business core classes, primarily focusing on introductory financial and managerial accounting. This tutoring was primarily done in group sessions, depending on how many students showed up, so I have experience working in both group and individual session formats.

I place a heavy emphasis on writing stuff down in tutoring sessions, as I believe that writing information down with a pen/paper provides a much better foundation and will help you more easily recall information. Additionally, I stress the fundamentals of accounting - understanding what accounts are affected by entries and how the overall accounting equation changes. While I have primarily worked with college-aged peers, I have experience working with both high schoolers and middle schoolers in subjects outside of accounting.
