"Do you need help preparing for the LSAT, GMAT, or GRE?

Here are some testimonials from my former students:

“The first time I took my LSAT I didn't do well at all. I then started getting tutored by Talia and it was the best decision ever! She made time in her busy schedule to meet with me as often as I liked and gave me really useful tools and advice that helped me increase my score the next time. Talia is super nice and patient and is willing to work on specific weak areas that you have so that you are more confident for the test! I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

~Katherine, LSAT

“Tutoring with Talia was the best thing I could have done while preparing for the GRE. She is very organized and knows how to focus on the specific needs of each student. Her methods were beneficial to me during the sessions, and when I studied on my own as well. Talia helped me score better than I ever thought I would! I recommend her to anyone.”

~Emily, GRE

“Talia is a wonderful tutor. Since day one she was supportive, flexible with her schedule and was always encouraging me to do my best. She helped me go up 9 points for the LSAT within less than a month. Not only was she helpful during our sessions, but she was always there if I needed to ask a question outside of our sessions. I highly recommend her!”

~Alexandra, LSAT

"Our son's SAT score rose 240 points after weekly sessions with Talia. Talia's ability to relate to the student, her teaching skills, her content knowledge, and her test-taking strategies combined to result in an outcome that exceeded our expectations. We strongly recommend her!"

~Jim, SAT

“Talia honestly has been one of the best teachers I've ever had, she truly caters to you as an individual making sure that not only what you're learning is sinking in but that you are comfortable and confident with the lessons. I for certain will be recommending her to everyone I know and I'm sure every other student taught by her will be doing the same.”

Education and Qualifications

school: B.A. USC, M.A. Binghamton University

I’ve been a self-employed test prep tutor for just over 8 years, and have assisted students with their graduate school application packages for almost as long. I specialize in the LSAT, but I also have extensive experience tutoring the GMAT, GRE, SAT, and ACT. I have a BA from the University of Southern California and an MA from Binghamton University, and I published a Master’s thesis in 2015. I currently reside on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy in Brooklyn.

I took the LSAT for the first and only official time in June of 2009 and I scored a 170 (98th percentile). This earned me multiple full tuition scholarships, even though I had an arts background. I continually take new LSATs as they’re released to make sure that I stay current with the test content and experience; I most recently scored a 177.

In 2012, I scored a 710 on the GMAT; the following year I took the GRE, scoring a 167 on Verbal and a 164 on Quantitative.

My tutoring style is interpersonal and adaptive, as I hope to address the unique academic needs of each of my students. I also believe that removing judgment from the test preparation process maximizes progress.
