"Hi, my name is Raekeata, also known as Rae the M.A.D. Scientist — Motivated, Attentive, and Determined to help students succeed in biology!

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and am passionate about making science accessible, engaging, and relatable. Through my tutoring, I aim to bring energy, creativity, and structure to every session, helping students overcome challenges and build real confidence in their abilities.

My tutoring approach is highly personalized. I begin with a Pre-Tutoring Questionnaire and Pre-Assessment to fully understand each student’s learning style, strengths, and goals. From there, I design customized lesson plans that break down complex biological concepts into clear, manageable pieces, using visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive activities. To monitor progress, I provide regular Post-Assessments and feedback.

While I am not yet fluent in Spanish, I am actively working to incorporate more Spanish into my tutoring sessions. I can assist students with Basic Language Support, especially when it comes to biological vocabulary, and will continue to improve my language skills as I grow as a tutor. This means that students will not only improve with biology but also get the added benefit of bilingual support.

As Rae the M.A.D. Scientist, my mission is simple: to motivate students to believe in themselves, stay attentive to their learning journey, and remain determined to achieve their academic goals.
