"My tutoring career began my sophomore year at the University of New Haven, where I double-majored in chemistry and forensic science. I tutored math, chemistry, biology, and forensic science at UNH's tutoring center, with a strong focus on math (up to Calculus III) and chemistry (up to Organic Chemistry II). In my three years there, I logged 900+ tutoring hours over 725 sessions, ranging from one-on-ones to groups of up to 10 students.

In addition to tutoring, I also conducted forensic science field research for two and a half years, performed chemistry research for one year, and was a chemistry lab assistant for a year and a half (general chemistry, organic chemistry, and instrumental analysis labs). I graduated from UNH with a B.S. in Chemistry and B.S. in Forensic Science with honors in May 2020, at which time I was awarded the Undergraduate Peer Tutor of the Year Award by my tutoring center and the Forensic Science Departmental Award for maintaining a cumulative 4.0 GPA.

I continued my studies as a chemistry graduate student at Purdue University, where I took classes on advanced organic and inorganic chemistry, was a teaching assistant, and conducted research. I taught two semesters of General Chemistry (4 classes/semester, 25 students/class) and was a head TA for my remaining three semesters (one of 6 head TAs overseeing 120+ TAs and 3,000+ students each semester; my duties included supervising labs, assisted the professors with teaching, created weekly recitation worksheets). Alongside my teaching duties, I conducted inorganic chemistry, synthesizing new thorium compounds and performing spectroscopic analysis on them. I defended my Master's thesis in December 2022.

I was a technical editor for the American Chemical Society for two years, during which time I resumed tutoring. Since August 2023, I have logged 400 tutoring hours for high school chemistry (CP and honors), General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry I. I look forward to continuing my tutoring career with Wyzant and your student!" less...
