"I’m an art historian, independent curator, and arts professional eager to help students discover the joy of art history. I remember how much I loved taking AP Art History in high school— I earned a 5 on the exam, and that introduction completely shaped the direction of my life. Since then, I’ve earned a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and recently completed all the requirements, including my thesis, for a second Master’s in Art History at Hunter College. I’ll officially graduate on May 30, 2025. A few years ago, I also took the comprehensive exam at Hunter, which allowed me to revisit the full sweep of global art history. That process was especially meaningful because the AP Art History canon has expanded significantly since I first encountered it, now reflecting a much broader range of cultures and artistic traditions.
While I’ve never formally tutored before, I’ve worked in the art world for over fifteen years, primarily in contemporary galleries. I’ve served as gallery director, curated exhibitions, and collaborated with artists, collectors, and institutions. A big part of my work has been discussing art with people from all backgrounds through tours, public programming, and writing. My approach is to find ways to make art engaging, approachable, and fun! I have also been an informal mentor to younger people starting out in the art world and am excited to extend this inclination to art history students. I understand that AP Art History involves a lot of memorization, writing, and visual analysis, and
I’m here to help students with all aspects of the course, not just the exam. I’m excited to support students in achieving academic success while connecting with the material in meaningful and lasting ways." less...
