"As a student at UC Berkeley's Bioengineering PhD program, I leverage deep knowledge in the fields of machine learning, biochemistry, calculus, and biology in my research every day. Previously, I developed image analysis pipelines for high-throughput analysis of central nervous system tumors for therapeutic development. I also developed advanced computer vision models at the National Institutes of Health, UC Irvine, and Phi Optics Inc for diverse applications including the neurobiology of aging, predictive epidermal diagnostics, and automated biomanufacturing process controls.

My approach to tutoring centers around connecting the knowledge that a student already has to concepts they are trying to understand. This way, new knowledge is built on well-understood concepts, enabling high-levels of understanding of complex topics. Ultimately, I pride myself in teaching my students to guide themselves independently through new problems so they learn to synthesize their understanding in more complex, unfamiliar situations. I structure my lessons according to Ebbinghaus' forgetting curve, encouraging my students to return to their learning at regular, separated intervals to maximize long-term retention.

I am capable of tutoring a variety of topics:

- High school: I can tutor all topics at up to a high-school level

- Programming: I am adept with Python and have some knowledge of C++, Bash, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have tutored programming for ages 8 to 50+! I am skilled in Computer Vision, GenAI, LLMs, and Protein Models.

- Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Differential Equations. I can also help with more advanced math topics if given some prep time beforehand.

- Science: I am an adept tutor for high-school science. Given my PhD-level experience, I can also help with advanced scientific endeavors such as academic publications and experimental design.
