"I'm a recent UC San Diego graduate (June 2025) with a B.S. in Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience. Through my academic research and coursework, I've developed strong expertise in Python programming, mathematics, chemistry, and scientific problem-solving, and I'm eager to share it with students.

Python & Coding Experience

I have extensive hands-on experience with Python across multiple research projects, working with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-Learn, and SciPy. I've built machine learning models, performed statistical analyses, and created data visualizations. I also have experience with JavaScript and R. I understand how challenging coding can be when you're starting out, and I focus on breaking complex concepts into manageable steps, using practical, real-world examples.

Mathematics Background

My neuroscience degree required advanced mathematics and statistics, which I apply regularly in my research, analyzing neural data and behavioral experiments. I'm comfortable tutoring through Algebra 2, helping students build confidence and problem-solving skills with clear explanations and practice.

Chemistry Experience

As part of my neuroscience program, I completed coursework in organic chemistry, which gave me a solid foundation in general chemistry, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, bonding, and acids and bases. I can help students understand both the conceptual framework and problem-solving strategies needed to succeed in chemistry courses.

Teaching Approach

In my research role, I supervised and trained two undergraduate peers in experimental design and programming, which taught me how to explain technical concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles. I believe in patient, one-on-one instruction that meets students where they are. My goal is to help students not just memorize formulas or syntax, but truly understand the "why" behind what they're learning.
