"I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Ecological, Evolutionary, and Organismal Biology from California State University, Chico, and I recently earned my Master’s in Natural Resources Stewardship from Colorado State University.

My academic background has given me a solid foundation in environmental science, ecology, and resource management, which I enjoy sharing with students who want to deepen their understanding of the natural world. My studies combined rigorous coursework with hands-on fieldwork, allowing me to connect complex scientific concepts to real-world applications.

For several years, I have worked in diverse ecological settings across California, conducting field surveys, species monitoring, and habitat restoration projects. I have collaborated with local, state, and federal agencies, including CAL FIRE and the US Forest Service, gaining valuable experience in land management and conservation planning. These experiences taught me how to explain challenging material clearly and practically, whether I am guiding a student through a biology lab report or helping them understand the connections between environmental policies and natural resource management.

My approach to tutoring is patient, adaptable, and focused on each student’s goals. I believe in using relatable examples, interactive discussions, and critical thinking exercises to make learning more engaging and meaningful.
