"I have always been passionate about connecting with different people and cultures. I decided to obtain bachelor’s degrees in both Animal Sciences and Spanish and Purdue University, from which I graduated in 2021. After undergraduate, I desired to enhance my knowledge of the Spanish language and various Spanish-speaking cultures to enhance my fluency of the language, and went on to attend Wichita State University, where I received a master's degree in Spanish.

During my studies at Purdue, I was involved in a student service-learning program in which I worked with Spanish-speaking bilingual children at local elementary schools to improve both their Spanish and English abilities through focusing on topics such as reading and math, as well as spent time discussing the obstacles these children faced due to language barriers. This incredible opportunity pushed me to grow my communication skills through working with an age group and community different than what I had known in my adult life. For my animal sciences degree at Purdue, I took various rigorous math and science courses which required immense understanding in order to excel. I spent a significant amount of time studying for these courses, and also helped many friends in mutual classes we shared if they were struggling with a specific subject matter I excelled at. I typically walked each person through my personal approaches to the subject, such as tips or tricks I had for memorization.
