"I completed my Master's in Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation at the University of Maryland in May 2020. I received my undergraduate degree from University of Maryland; a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. I currently work as a research manager but continue to tutor because it is fun for me! I have been tutoring for 15+ years. My student success stories include a 7th grader who received 'most improved 7th grader' after a year of tutoring sessions, a high school student going from failing classes to Honor Roll in a 1 year period, and a student getting an A+ on their third attempt at a statistics course when implementing weekly tutoring session with me for the whole semester.

I have been a graduate assistant for statistics and research methodology courses. I was nominated for best graduate teaching assistant during grad school by my supervisor and students. My tutoring experience includes working with non-traditional students, students with learning disabilities such as ADHD, and all age/grade levels. I have previously worked at tutoring companies including JEI Learning Center with ages 4-12 and, before that, the tutoring company Peer2Peer: Aristotle Circle where I worked with middle and high school students.

I have mostly tutored in science and math (including statistics) but I have also done SAT prep, homework help, study and organizational skills, and other subject matters. Mainly, I love tutoring and helping others learn!

To semi-quote mean girls - Math is universal! Practice is key for math, so thinking up new practice problems is a must, especially for statistics which is more concept and application based than other maths. It is always fun to create a word problem that you can relate to! As for science - science is the most applicable subject because it applies to the body, mind, and physical world around us. There is always more to learn!
