"Hi! My name is Katherine and I am an experienced math tutor. I started out working mostly with middle schoolers, but now I work with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students. My methods involve building strong, positive relationships with my students in order to motivate them and reduce their anxiety about math, and individualizing my approach based on the needs and personality of each student.

I have a Master's Degree in Math Education, and I hold a Florida Teacher's Certificate in a variety of areas, including Math and ESE. I worked in Orlando area schools for 9 years, first with non-English speakers, and then with students with learning disabilities. I am very familiar with the skills for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, since I worked with all of these on a daily basis. I switched from teaching to full-time tutoring in Fall 2017, and as my students moved on to high school, I worked with high school math too, including Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. In my own schooling, I enjoyed math and took math classes up to Calc III.
