"My name is Sofia, and I am a passionate educator with over seven years of experience working for Milwaukee Public Schools. For the past five years, I’ve served as a special education teacher, supporting students across a wide range of disabilities and learning profiles. I’ve taught students from kindergarten through 12th grade, and my diverse classroom experience has equipped me to adapt instruction to meet the unique needs of every learner. I approach each student with patience, creativity, and a belief in their ability to grow.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2020, along with minors in Theater and American Sign Language. I went on to complete my master’s degree in Exceptional Education with a certificate in Assistive Technology and Augmentative Design. This background allows me to incorporate technology, visual supports, and alternative communication strategies into my tutoring sessions when appropriate. I regularly use evidence-based practices and differentiation to ensure that each learner has the tools they need to succeed.

Outside of the classroom, I dedicate my time during school breaks to tutoring students one-on-one.
