"Hi, I'm Chloe. I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in electrochemical engineering, and Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering. After undergoing seven years of engineering education, I understand firsthand the impact a good tutor can have on your confidence, technical skills, and coursework performance. As a former student that often fell into the category of non-traditional learning and faced difficulties such as test anxiety, I'm passionate about working with you to develop methods to help you work through difficult and challenging topics.
In the course of my engineering education, I took a variety of courses spanning calculus, chemistry, physics, and coding. Over the course of laboratory and research work, I've spent years explaining difficult technical topics to team members, classmates, and researchers and developed a passion for it. Because of this experience, I am able to offer tutoring in engineering courses including statics, strength of materials, transport phenomena, fluid flow, and heat transfer. With these courses, I will help you to simplify difficult concepts and to build intuition rather than relying on memorization. For students who benefit from alternative learning methods, I strive to provide a personalized, judgment-free environment where we can work on building your skills in a manner specialized to your learning style and preferences. My goal across all types of learning styles is to make advanced engineering topics feel logical and intuitive, and to build your confidence.
I especially welcome students who feel overlooked by traditional teaching styles - my tutoring is collaborative: we'll work through examples, identify which concept breakdown methods work best for you, and develop a toolkit you can rely on after the session ends. Together, we'll turn complex challenges into manageable steps and success." less...
