"I have been teaching for several years and tutoring for over fifteen years in the Baltimore area. I started teaching in the classroom in 2016 and fell in love with it! While I was teaching, I decided to get a masters in leadership teaching with a concentration in secondary school mathematics in 2018 and completed my degree in 2020 with a Maryland State Certification. My undergraduate degree is in mathematics from the College of Charleston. My specialties are in AP Calculus and AP Statistics, but have taught all high school level classes.

I tutored starting in high school and continued in my college’s center for student learning. After getting my undergraduate degree, I worked in data analytics but still always made time to help friends and cousins in their math classes. I realized I love teaching and tutoring students and changed my career to education.

I believe each student deserves an individualized approach to education. I think creating a trusting and respectful bond between teacher and student is essential to the student’s success. I utilize visuals, real world application, and even rhymes to help engage my students.
