"Hello, my name is Joe. I currently work for a local credit union in the IT department. I worked in accounting for nearly 5 years, but I decided to take advantage of the excellent opportunity that presented itself in IT. I have an associate's degree in accounting. I live and work in Sturtevant. I graduated in 2001 from Waterford High School with a 3.7 GPA, and I graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Gateway Tech College. During my time at Gateway, I excelled as a student tutor in the Academic Support Center. In fact, they liked what I did so much that they decided to keep me on for an additional 6 years after graduation to help run their online accounting tutoring services! This only stopped when Gateway outsourced their online tutoring to a different company. I also have some experience working with local students that heard about me through high-school guidance counselors. Finally, I have gained a lot of experience helping people who have found me through Wyzant. I am very proud of the ratings that people have given me! Math has always been a strong subject for me, and I can also help out with most accounting classes. I am extremely strong with Microsoft Excel.

I am passionate and really enjoy helping students learn things that they never thought they could. I myself am a visual learner, and I learn by examples. Therefore, I tend to try and teach by using a lot of examples. I will break things down into a specific step by step process, and take away the illusion that the subject is impossible to figure out!
