"Hi, my name is Matt. I've been teaching and tutoring math for over 25 years. I've taught every level of math from 5th grade through B/C Calculus. I graduated from Brown University with a dual degree in mathematics and French Literature (cum laude). Later I earned a Master's in Math Education from City College of New York, and then a Master's in Music Composition from Hunter College.

I love teaching math, but I have significant experience as a Language Arts instructor as well. In addition to English, I can handle any level of French, and introductory Spanish. I have also tutored the ACT, SAT, SSAT, SCAT, and GRE. I'd love to tutor you in any of my areas of expertise.

My approach is to meet each student where they are, and help them build on what they already know. I understand that many subjects in school (especially math) can be frustrating or at times seem downright impossible, but I will help you approach problems or assignments in a step-by-step way.
