"From primary to graduate school, I have been able to use my educational leadership skills to help people. Working primarily as an online adjunct faculty, I serve undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of statistics, psychology, and communication. Since that work is contingent, I also substitute teach in the local public schools. I love education and believe that learning expands the mind as well as opens doors of opportunity for people.

My preference is to work asynchronously online. However, WyzAnt emphasizes face-to-face meetings. With this in mind, I am available to work with people, who are 18 or older. I also highly recommend that written dialogue in the E-mail be clear and specific regarding the tutoring need. I firmly believe students need the opportunity to shape their questions, which is a critical skill in education and for careers. Scheduling and cancellations need to take place through the WyzAnt System. I require at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation. Scheduled meetings will only take place in public settings, such as, university centers, public libraries, or university libraries. My commitment to life-long learning and my belief that given the chance most people can achieve their goals is what motivates me.

I have taught statistics at the college-level for over 12 years. Including in this teaching experience, I have taught algebra and probability. I am also well suited for basic math tutoring, such as pre-algebra.

I am a published writer, but beyond that I have taught composition at the university level. I love writing both creatively and academically. I have taught Research Design, with a keen eye for following, the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, APA-Style Formatting.
